I visited the following
places quite a few times. All places have their special charm. To find out what you like
read the description or try it, you will like it. But remember: I'm 27 and so some of
these places are only "twens".
Also the Filipino Discos aren't the taste of everybody.
DELANEY'S - THE IRISH PUB
Much more than just a restaurant, this authentically fashioned Irish pub is home to nearly
constant celebratory atmosphere. In addition to hearty stews, Dublin Bay prawns and
oysters and potato creations galore, there are tasty desserts and an extensive drink list
to be explored. No Irish pub would be complete without draught Guinness, and Delaney's has
it - as well as live folk music in the evenings and a happy hour from 3pm-8pm.

HARD ROCK CAFE - HONG KONG
Renown for its generous portions of authentic all-American cuisine and memorabilia of

JJ'S
One of the hottest night spots in town, this multi-entertainment center provides live
music, disco dancing, a games room for billiards and darts, and a diner serving delicious
pizzas and sandwiches.

JOE BANANAS
The ultimate place to party. Still going strong after 10 years. This lively bar/restaurant
maximizes every hour of the day whether it's a quick business lunch, unwinding over Happy
Hour or dancing till dawn. Food is served from 11am until midnight with a mix of Western,
Asian, Mexican and "veggie" platters available.

Filipino Discos
There are a lot of Filipino Discos in Wanchai. Here relax the "Maids",
"Amas", "Drivers" and other Philippine oversee workers at their day
off. There you can become acquainted with "locals". Best day is Saturday; if the
most workers have their day off at Sunday.
TIP-OFF: Gwailo don't pay for entry!
It's the only place in Hong Kong - expect Grammy's Lounge - I know where you can become
the original Philippino San Miguel Beer.

Lan Kwai Fong Area
At Lan Kwai Fong are a lot of Pubs. It's the Pub and Party area of Hong Kong. The visitors
are international. There are a lot of local Gwailos but also the Chinese will be more and
more. Also there you can meet a lot of backpack travelers. I like every Pup there, so I
can't give a special name. Perhaps the "Schnurbart" a German Pub with
"Weizenbier" and German food. I liked it, when I was living in Hong Kong.

CLUB LOST CITY
With 80, 000 square feet composed of 12 different "theme' sections, Lost City is not
only the largest entertainment venue in Hong Kong, but also the most eccentrically
decorated. From the Karaoke section to the catwalk room, "understand" is not a
term that applies here. There are two distinct disco floors, three bandstands, and a
central bar the size of a small yacht. Although the clientele tends to arrive with more
than dining in mind, an international array of tasty snacks are available in all corners
of the complex.

PLANET HOLLYWOOD HONG KONG
In spite of its capacity, this local branch of the famed Orlando-based franchise is
frequently brimming. Diners may come the first time for a look at Star Wars model
spaceships or Bruce Lee's retired duds, but they probably return for the pizza, pork chops
and milk shakes. You can take home a piece of Hollywood from the restaurant's exclusively
licensed souvenir shops, located just outside.

If you want to see the riches and the beauties of Hong Kong - you should enjoy here your
afternoon tea between 4 and 6 o'clock. The styling of this Lobby is fantastic. You wont
find a second one like this in Hong Kong.
